Affinity marketing is a symbiotic relationship between two organizations to target consumers with shared interests in order to grow a healthy customer base for both parties. Drips and Ytel teamed up in early 2015 to develop a partnership that centered around lead generation and both companies have experienced rampant growth and success in the past two years.

These partnerships create unique opportunities for partner brands to offer discounts, services or products to a highly targeted, segmented audience relevant to the partners’ brands, and in doing so, each audience will have a much higher tendency to purchase said offering.

With Ytel’s communication API, Drips leverages voice, text and email functionality to perform intelligent, efficient lead follow up for their customers. The product partnership simply began here, but has grown into so much more for both companies.

What started as a 1:1 relationship has grown to be so much more. Ytel provided the telephony backing at the beginning to help support Drips during their growth phase using the API. When Drips sends out follow-up attempts to our customer’s leads, those text messages, phone calls, and emails, all come from the API. Drips chooses the target, aims, pulls the trigger, and the API fires.

Because of the paramount success in the blending of these two technologies, Ytel now receives exclusivity to Drips’ new customers.

By default, any new customer of Drips is a customer of Ytel…  that’s affinity marketing at work. By helping Drips initially, Ytel has grown a substantial customer base and the partnership has come full circle.
