Ytel is honored to have been chosen as a Top Workplace of 2016 by the OC Register! Ytel employees were anonymously surveyed on various aspects of their job, work experience, company culture, compensation, and many more. At Ytel, employee satisfaction is at the center of everything we do. Ranking in the Top Workplaces in Orange County is a huge accomplishment for us. Cheers!

Based on anonymous input from employees from Orange County companies, the awards assess businesses of all sizes according to 22 criteria on topics such as compensation, benefits, job satisfaction and social responsibility. Winners are ranked in three categories: large, midsize and small companies.

For Ytel, work life balance was a huge focus point for our employees in 2016. We placed a large emphasis on surveying our team to dig deep to discover what makes them happy; is it compensation, bonuses, happy hours, team outings, etc. and those results have been implemented in the remainder of the 2016 year and will largely go into effect in the 2017 year as well.

Out of 70 small companies in the Orange County area, Ytel placed 6th! The OC Register focuses this award on what makes a company successful and what makes their leaders successful. People, employees in particular, want to know the vision and direction of the company they're employed by, which allows them to see the transparent path ahead of them that leads to success.

A highlight for the Ytel team was this quote, "Pause before every interaction and ask yourself: 'What can I do in the moment to make this person feel more powerful, competent, and able to excel?' " This is certainly an idea our leadership team will be implementing in 2017 to encourage and foster the growth of Ytel employees across the board and as we grow and hire more team members. 

We were thrilled to be able to attend the event last week in Anaheim. Check out OC Register's online publication where Ytel is highlighted in the small company section as a Top Workplace for 2016 (p.9).
