The season of giving is here! It's time to think about different ways to thank your team for all their hard work throughout the year. We've put together a list of a few things that can work for each personality on your team.

Offer them time off for the holidays

Whether this means an additional day of PTO or getting to leave early on the days leading up to Christmas and New Year's, your employees will appreciate the gifted time to spend with their families or to plan for their upcoming travel. Work life balance is always important, especially during the holidays.

Give them a hand written note

While this shouldn't be ALL you do, your employees will appreciate the kind words and it reminds them that their hard work all year didn't go unnoticed. It's a very personal way to tell your team, "I see you," and will encourage them to keep working and finish the year strong.

Plan a team outing

Whether it's a happy hour, a team dinner, or a seasonal event, organizing something for your department will give everyone a chance to blow off some steam and just enjoy time together. Try and keep this separate from your company holiday party, so your team can appreciate time with the people they work with on a daily basis.

Give them a company-wide shout out

Whether this is via an internal email or a shout out at lunch, your employees will be incredibly grateful and flattered to get recognition for their efforts, particularly in front of all the other departments in your office.

Upgrade their tech

Is there something on their tech wish list you can gift them? Whether it's a new headset, tablet, even a fancy new pen; gifts are many people's love language and show your thoughtfulness more than any other gesture.
